About
Everyone has creative instincts. In other words we are all creators. I create using paint, ink, oil pastels, watercolors, marker, and even spray paint on canvas or paper. You may use clay, textiles, paper, or whatever you like to create your art. For me, paint is my preference.
Iām not what you might call a natural born artist. I have taken classes and I have practiced the processes I have learned. My first experience with art was in middle school. The class was given ink and paper and instructed to draw a still life that was set up in the front of the room. This exercise sparked something in me that took residence, but remained dormant for many years. Doubt (in myself) was the key reason I did not nourish that spark. Now, I do not listen to the doubter inside me. She is still there, but her voice is not as prominent as it used to be. I love to create art and I use my work as evidence as to my ability. My paintings are not for everyone, but that does not matter, they are for me.
